3rd grade students had a Google chat with Eryn Beisner. Eryn is an engineer working for NASA. She went to Churchill County High School in Fallon. She works with the operation of space suits. She really did a fantastic job encouraging our third graders to pursue their dreams by being "stubborn" enough to not give up and to keep trying, even when schoolwork or life is difficult.
Tonight we celebrated the 100th day of school with a family math night. Many came to learn new math games and enjoyed pizza provided by our PTO. Also a group of kids memorized as many numbers in Pi as they could to win participating in a pie eating contest. Thanks to all who made this night successful.
Mrs. Paul Woolever’s class celebrates the 100th day of school. They are officially 100 days brighter and played with black lights and science activities today.
Census Critical to Education - shortly, the national census work will begin. Within the state of Nevada, funds for critical statewide needs as well as education are tied to the data on the census. The District has been informed that the census process will take 10 minutes or less and can have huge benefits. Please participate in this important process.
Due to icy road conditions, all HCSD schools will be on a 2 hour delay.
Here are our 100 Book Challenges recipients for 2nd quarter. Keep up the good work!
