WELCOME TO INNOVATIONS DISTANCE EDUCATION ACADEMY (IDEA)
Innovations Distance Education Academy is a free online public school created by the Humboldt County School District to provide educational services to students that choose to receive their Kindergarten through 6th grade education at home through computer-based instruction.
IDEA uses Edgenuity curriculum, which has been developed by some of the best minds in education. This rigorous, content-rich curriculum meets or exceeds state standards across all subject areas.
When a student enrolls in IDEA, they are still a Humboldt County School District student but complete their course work primarily at home. A highly-qualified teacher and support staff monitor student progress, attendance, and content mastery while providing professional insight, instruction, and support.
Students enrolled in IDEA may also participate in extracurricular activities at their attendance area school and graduate from their attendance area high school.
