GVES SCHOOL NEW OFFICE HOURS: 10AM-1PM Monday through Friday
This message from GVES is to update you on office schedule changes in response to Governor Sisolak's issued extended school closure through at least April 30, 2020. These schedule changes are in effect to help us do all in our power to reduce exposure and transmission during this time of school closure. Our daily office hours will now be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm but we are not open to the public. This limited schedule is in place for us to answer phone calls and emails, and to provide any support you may need. Starting this Tuesday April 7th, the same time of 10am-1pm will also be a designated pick-up and drop-off time for parents who are utilizing the work packets for students. This will be in place on April 7th and continue all week days, occurring as a "drive-through" system on Mary Way where our Pre-school entrance is. Please make sure the completed work packets have the student's name, teacher's name, turn in date, and parent signature on each returned packet. Please plan to pull up next to the curb at this location, where we will have a return bin for completed work to be dropped. Further down, proceed to the packet pick-up table where someone will be there to retrieve a new learning packet for you and bring it to your vehicle. We will also be giving you a window sign identifying for us your child's teacher which will make packet pick-up more efficient. Please place this sign in your vehicle window whenever driving through. For everyone's safety, please know that we cannot allow any pick-up or drop-off to occur if people in the vehicle are symptomatic of any illness. We would also like to remind you that your child's teacher is available daily through email to answer and address most of your questions and concerns.
